How much does a new roof cost in Surrey?
Roofing work can start from around £5,000, with full roof replacement costs depending on size, materials, access and complexity. Premium clay tile, slate or structural rebuild projects cost more. We provide free, detailed written quotes with no hidden costs.
How long does a full roof replacement take?
Most pitched roof replacements take 3-7 working days. Larger or more complex projects may take up to 2 weeks. We provide a clear timeline before work begins and keep you updated throughout.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. Surrey Roofing & Windows Ltd holds £5 million Public Liability and £10 million Employers Liability insurance. We are also Google Guaranteed and Checkatrade Approved. We can provide copies of certificates on request.

What roofing materials do you work with?
We work with all major materials including Redland 49 concrete interlocking tiles, Redland Rosemary clay tiles, man-made clay tiles, natural and artificial slate, GRP fibreglass (RES TEC), EPDM rubber, Code 4 and Code 5 lead, breathable membranes and dry ridge systems.
Do I need planning permission for a new roof?
In most cases, no planning permission is needed for a like-for-like roof replacement. Exceptions include listed buildings, conservation areas or where the roof's height or footprint changes. We advise on this during our free site visit.
Do you provide written guarantees?
Yes. All our roofing work comes with a written workmanship guarantee. Duration varies by project type. Materials also carry separate manufacturer warranties. Full documentation is provided on completion.

How do I know if my roof needs replacing or just repairing?
Signs a full replacement may be needed include widespread tile deterioration, recurring leaks despite repairs, a roof over 30-40 years old, significant batten or rafter rot, or multiple failing elements at once. We always give honest advice and will tell you if a repair is the better option.
